ascending mechanosensory neuron of leg chordotonal organ [FBbt_00048275]
ascending mechanosensory neuron of leg chordotonal organ
ID: FBbt_00048275
Mechanosensory neuron of the adult that innervates a scolopidium of a chordotonal organ in the leg and ascends to the brain. Different neurons reach different destinations, such as the gnathal ganglion, wedge and anterior ventrolateral protocerebrum. (Tsubouchi et al., 2017)
Ascending club neurons appear to be the only ascending leg chordotonal neurons (Lee et al., 2025 - FBrf0262248). These are SA_DLV in Codex, based on community annotations (2025-06-18).
