sour-sensing neuron of the leg [FBbt_00051970]

Sensory neuron that responds to sour (acidic) stimuli and innervates a taste bristle in the leg. These are characterized by expression of ionotropic receptors Ir76b and Ir25a, which are required for their response to acids, and the absence of sweet (Gr64f) and bitter (Gr33a) gustatory receptors (Chen and Amrein, 2017).
